The BIG18 industrial sliding automatic gate opener is designed for industrial sliding gates to 2500kg.

Manufactured by TAU in Italy the BIG18 is a 3 phase 400 volt sliding gate operator. Like all sliding gate operators the BIG18 is non reversible with manual override by key. The BIG18 is suitable for gates to 2500 kilograms in weight.

The BIG18 has a built in control board with inputs for photocells and switches etc. One of the added advantages of using the inverter is the ramp up and ramp down which when used in conjunction with the BIG18 board provides great control over large gates.
You can choose between input power for the BIG18 of 3 phase if available or simply run single phase and use the inverter.

- Most sliding gate systems require rack (There are a few chain drive operators for industrial gates). Available in steel reinfoced nylon for gates up to 800 kilograms and a larger galvanised steel version for heavier industrial gates. One metre lengths with easy fix points. Click to view.
- A must have if you use automatic closing function is photocells. Photocells provide an extra level of safety to prevent gates from closing on vehicles or pedestrians. Sliding gates can have a single set between the gate posts or multiple sets if desired at various heights. Click to view.
MAINS POWER FILTER
- Gate automation like this usually is installed on commercial and industrial sites where you can be pretty certain the mains power is less than desirable. Dirty power can result in lack of reliability and increased service costs. Installing a good quality filter will not only guard against spikes and surges but clean up the power before it reaches your electronics. There is more information here
